Mary Katranzou Spring 2013 Ready-to-Wear

Mary Katranzou was one of the first designers to introduce my eyes to graphic printed fabric and instantly made me fall deep in love. No one else can make a print out of anything as she does. For Katranzou’s Spring 2013 collection she took reference from stamps and bank notes, lingering as tokens of the past, literal souvenirs of the values of other, lost cultures.

It’s been pretty cold and rainy over here in NY. No need to look the part, keep shining. Mary Katrantzou’s signature graphic and floral prints are key for Spring/Summer and def on trend this season. I live for this floral biker jacket, it’s so sweet. Pairing it with color denim is ideal, also heavy on trend this year. Keeping it simple with the top and shoes works because it allows the jacket to talk without interruption. Hardware is optional.
